In truth, I searched earnestly for a way to build my business without speaking to family or friends who wanted nothing to do with my business. I was simply frustrated and worn out by all the people who I was close to dodging my calls like the matrix.

Your MLM blog will help you to brand yourself. When you brand yourself and not your company you become the authority. People will do business with someone who they know, like, and trust.

When you brand yourself with a personal blog it will set you apart from everyone else in your niche by giving you authority and credibility.

Your MLM blog will give your prospects reason to join you versus anyone else.

Credibility and Authority

Blogging not only allows you to become a leader and authority in your niche but it also gives you credibility. When you promote your own personal blog you become the expert. Your blog is easily distinguishable from a company’s replicated site which will do little to tell your prospect why they should do business with you versus anyone else.

Your blog is the one thing that you own online. Your social media platforms are not controlled directly by you and can be shut down at any point. This is why no matter what social media platforms you choose to help you to promote what you are doing all roads should lead back to your blog. Your MLM blog becomes a central hub where you will have several call to actions that will allow visitors to learn more about what you do and how you can help them.

Build Your BrandSocial Media for Small Business

If you are looking to build long-term income using the power of the internet you will need to brand yourself. It does not matter if you’re are a small home based business owner, network marketer, or own your own brick and mortar business the key is to brand you. Branding is about your mission, the problems you solve, the people you serve, and the legacy you want to leave behind.

Social Media for Small Business

Here are some questions to ask yourself as you are working through the process of creating your online brand:

  1. Who is my ideal customer?
  2. What do my customers want?
  3. Who are my competitors?
  4. What is my competitor’s brand position?
  5. What problem does my company solve?
  6. What value can I offer my customers?
  7. When people think about my company or product, what are the feelings and associations I want them to have?
  8. What are the emotional and functional benefits of the products or service that we deliver to our customers?
  9. What kind of personality will my brand have?

Make Connections

Be sure that you are utilizing the power of social media to make connections. Spend time reaching out to new people every day. Make it a point to reach out to 5 – 10 people and start a new conversation with them each day, Find out what they are doing and if they have a problem that you may be able to solve. It is important to make connections and become social. There is no golden script, simply ask people how they are doing and let them know that you wish to connect. Remember people join people they do not join companies.

Be ConsistentSocial Media for Small Business

This is one of the most difficult aspects but by far the most important. You have to be sure that you show up. In order to gain real traction on social media you have to show up and be consistent. After you build a following people will start looking for you and if you do not show up they will move on. Decide on your target market and put out valuable content consistently.

Build Your List

You list is your most important asset. You may have heard it before that the money is in the list. Find a way to give consistent value everyday in exchange for an email address. Do Videos

This is the best time to start doing videos.  Facebook is now competing with Youtube and is favoring video. People love live streaming and it helps you to build rapport through strengthened human interaction.  They key is to do daily videos that will teach someone something that you have learned. The first videos that you do may not be great but after some time you will get better.

Become The Best Student

Commit to becoming a life long learner. When you learn something do a video or create a blog post to teach that content. This will help you increase your value in the market place and grow a strong following on the internet.

Fun is Not Work

Be sure that you are enjoying what you are doing. If you are doing something only for the purpose of earning money then that is not true freedom. The purpose of owning a business is not only to create money but to create a life of freedom. If you are doing what you love you it will not feel like work.
